Goku (birth name Kakarot) was born on a planet called Vegeta. His parents were two low-class Saiyan warriors on the planet Vegeta. Goku spent most of his childhood with his mother, father, and his brother Raditz. When his parents found out the Overlord Frieza’s plan on wiping out all the Saiyans, they managed to steal a space pod where they placed young Goku inside and sent him to earth.
Goku’s space pod made its way to earth and landed on mount Pauzu where he was discovered by an old martial arts master named Gohan. Gohan took the lonely child in and gave him the name of son Goku.
It was not a smooth transition as Goku was violent and ill-tempered from the beginning. He refused to trust or obey Gohan at all. However, one small action changed all of that. One day Goku accidentally fell down a deep ravine and hit his head hard. The crash almost killed him and caused amnesia. Due to the memory loss, he forgot the Saiyan mission and became a kind and well-natured individual. Over time, Gohan taught him many things ranging from martial arts to knowledge about their surroundings.
Tattoo Of Dragon Ball, Tv Shows, Manga
This is where the story of Dragon Ball truly begins with the 12-year-old Goku. Goku was living all by himself in the mountains with the power pole and the four-star dragon ball that he inherited from his grandfather. Eventually, Goku meets up with Bulma, a girl from the city who was following the signal of the four-star dragon ball that Goku had in his possession. Bulma ends explaining Goku on the true power of the dragon balls, claiming that collecting all seven dragon balls would cause a dragon to appear who would grant you any wish. Goku then joins Bulma on a quest to collect all seven dragon balls.
For eight months straight, Goku trains hard under master Roshi alongside another disciple named Krillin, with whom he becomes friends over time. After those eight months, Goku decides to compete in the 21st world martial arts tournament. At this particular tournament, Goku manages to reunite with Bulma and his other friends. With the power of martial arts and being the main character of an action anime, he beats many other notorious martial arts masters like Giran and Naruto.
After Goku defeats King Piccolo, he sees Kami, former Guardian of the Earth and the creator of Dragon Balls. He trains with Kami for the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament to defeat Piccolo Junior. During or after the training, Kami takes Goku’s tail off for the third and final time permanently.
Dragon Ball Z Tattoo Ideas You'll Never Forget
After three years of training, Goku was finally 18 years of age. He returned to the tournament and met up with his friends and Chichi. When Goku was young, he naively promised to marry Chichi. Goku wins the 23rd world martial arts tournament by defeating Piccolo Jr. After the fight, Goku travels to the Ox king’s village with chichi as they both end up getting married.
Dragon Ball Z begins many years later with Goku, 24 years old, with his son Gohan. He named his son after his grandpa Gohan. Goku takes him to introduce him to Bulma and others. Everything was going well till Raditz kidnapped Gohan, who happened to be Goku’s brother. Goku sacrificed his life to protect Gohan. After a while, Goku eventually wished back to life.
After seeing two of his closest comrades Piccolo and Krillin die before his eyes, the trauma and rage transformed Goku into a legendary Super Saiyan.

Dragon Ball Tattoo Designs And Meanings
Dragon Ball tattoos are the latest wave in the signature franchise’s amazing mythology. Read on for awesome tattoo design and possible inspiration for your body art. You don;t even need to be an anime fan to dig this tattoo idea.
A cool thing about Dragon Ball tattoos is that you don’t need to be a watcher of the television series or anime fan to enjoy the art, technical skill and color in each vivid design.
The Dragon Ball itself is a funky image, while meme culture and the internet has introduced us to Super Saiyan powering up, or Goku looking freaked out prior to battle. The pert breasted version of Bulma is a sadboi’s dream tattoo, but from a technical ink perspective it’s drawn with tremendous clarity and use of brilliant color.
Me And My Best Friend Got A Tattoo, What Do You All Think?
On the flips side, the absence of color in Dragon Ball Z tattoo allows each tattoo artist to explore the original manga style thick black ink art on skin. I really dig the various visages of the characters, like a split screen prior to a fight, while the cute image Goku and Saiyan finger fighting tattoo features great shading and cleanly executed fine lines.
Shenron is the magical dragon who can be summoned by individuals that collecting all seven of the Dragon Balls. As an Eastern Dragon, kind are benevolent and sacred in Asian mythology, making for a perfect Chinese Dragon tattoo idea.

He’s naturally a vivid green in color, but these Shenron tattoo examples are etched with black line ink or black and gray so that the dragon balls can be emphasized using color to contrast against his body and face.
Amazing Anime Tattoo Ideas You Will Love
The key to this great character selection lies in framing each tattoo with a border shape to give the art depth and perspective. The Vegeta tattoo and other ideas are allowed a different look by putting elements outside the frame.
The colorful Master Roshi ink is my favorite of these framed DBZ tattoo ideas – the old bloke looks like he’d be fun at parties – and the technical work using almost dotwork fuzz shade in creating the rising sun behind him is an epic tattoo idea.
These Dragon Ball series designs show off the variation of heavy black ink tattoos. The first one, featuring Piccolo and Krillin, looks excellent balancing negative space and single needle lines. Others, such as Piccolo and Goku, or the Super Saiyan framed fight look for manga style realistic texture.
Anime Dragon Ball Goku Tattoo Design Ideas For Men And Women In 2020
My favorite piece is the framed linework man in beautiful black line opposed by bright red splashes of blood. I think the artist giving the man angry red eyes and the blood trickle against his mouth – with droplets outside the frame – works brilliantly to give a technical piece even more character.
These bigger dragon ball tattoos go hard. Love the use of Japanese tattoo fundamentals – great balanced images, single panel color, framing shapes – all work to bring these characters into their element.

The sleeve Goku tattoo is particularly masterful work, it looks like a freshly printed brochure. Being able to show off the wicked green hair of Broly – amongst traditional black linework – is a killer feature, while interlinking the small pieces of the main Dragon Ball Z characters – Goku, Vegeta, Yamcha, Beerus, Frieza, Krillin, Shenron, Gotenks – done in a style different to anime tradition stands out.
Small Dragon Ball Z Tattoo Ideas That Will Blow Your Mind!
I’m not as big a fan of the Majin tattoo, but that’s purely because of his rough head more than anything the tattoo artist is responsible for.
If you’re an fan of the anime series looking to go brazen when choosing your Dragon Ball GT tattoo, and really want to make it stand out, then new wave inspiration like these examples will stand you in good stead.
They go beyond just vivid color into wildly disparate types of theming and outlandish use of character – I mean Cell is already weird, so leopard printing his helmet is rad. They take a simple forearm tattoo idea then create a rampant Goku image, levitating Beerus, or Master Roshi on a bender to completely change up a DBZ design.
Dragon Ball: 10 Amazing Tattoos To Inspire Your New Ink
The Dragon Ball symbol Goku wears is a combination of separate kanji characters. The first is Kai, which means “World”. The second is Oh, which means “King.” When mixed into vertical Kanji they become the personal emblem of Kaio, who is known as the King of Worlds.
The Z in Dragon Ball Z stands for “zenkai”. In Japanese, Zenkai roughly translates to mean “the last time”. Originally, Dragon Ball Z was supposed to be the finale for the Dragon Ball franchise, but then the Dragon Ball GT series was created due to the overwhelming popularity of Z, and the increase in interest from Western culture.
