Get Ready to Take Your Style to the Next Level A Guide to One Piece Sleeve Tattoos

One Piece Sleeve Tattoo

False spring, second winter, real spring? Wherever we are in the tentative shift into the new season, it finally feels like it’s well and truly time to press go on a wardrobe refresh.

After a long weekend of mostly glorious weather, there’s no turning back to woolly jumpers and big coats now. There’s enough vitamin D in our systems to have activated a craving for that key spring outer layer which is going to keep the chill at bay for a few more weeks while also looking light and upbeat (spoiler alert: it’s an upscale trench, see below) and the game changer items which will make everything else you own feel right for now (try the tailored waistcoat).

Wear

This isn’t about doing a panicked supermarket sweep of the new-in sections but instead making a few considered purchases which will breathe new life into the perfectly decent clothes you have already.

Vacation Outfit Ideas To Start Your Holiday Off In Style

It’s as much about switching up your mindset as your options; don’t be afraid of colour, be brave with your accessories as a few choice headliners will imbue you with right-for-now elegance, and be prepared to re-think silhouettes.

Banish all assumptions that suits should be confined to workwear. This season’s come in a rainbow of hues and cuts which skew louche and relaxed rather than formal and office-only. Note how Katie Holmes could be going to anything from a dinner party to a wedding to a work meeting in her yellow version – swap in a pair of trainers and you’re in running errands/pub lunch territory.

I know what you’re thinking – this is a trend I can only wear if I’m a size 6, 20-something influencer. This was my view on waistcoats for a while, but in my research for this piece I found plenty of great examples of curvier women trialling the trend and I’m now convinced we can all give it a go. The key is to get the fit right – don’t be afraid to size up so it isn’t too clingy. They look great over a silky blouse or one of those shirts with an oversized collar.

Refreshing your wardrobe for spring doesn’t always need to be about a big clothing purchase – a new accessory or two can be completely transformative, opening up new outfits or ways of styling old pieces. Your basic black T-shirts will be instantly elevated by a chunky gold chain necklace while an old go-to dress can be 2023-ified with Massimo Dutti’s tennis-inspired trainers. Ace!

Pastels can still be pretty and ladylike (a trend that’s going nowhere) but they can also be playful or toughened up, too. Look for unexpected pieces like Sienna Miller’s lilac cargo trousers, right, or John Lewis’s lemon linen dress, which is a great way to do pared-back minimalism. Team with white accessories for a modern finish.

Retailers might be encouraging us to move on from floral dresses,  but that needn’t mean you lose out on an ultra-useful frock you can wear anywhere and everywhere this spring.

I’ve already spotted the one I think will sell-out at Zara but these are some slightly more under-the-radar varieties which won’t have you cringing when you realise all your friends and colleagues have the same one.

Funny

When Keira Knightley set out on a publicity blast for her new film a few weeks ago, she wore a series of fantastic outfits including this beautiful Valentino trench coat. We probably all have a trench of some sort already - a style which will come into its own in the clement weather of the coming weeks - but this season’s more thoughtful designs would be a worthwhile upgrade which will become future classics.

When in doubt, a failsafe spring outfit is jeans or chinos, ballet flats and a statement blouse. You know the kind; it’s patterned, ruffled or made from an interesting fabric and is unlikely to come in a neutral colour.

In short, it’s the kind of top which will always attract compliments. Go with your instincts when choosing yours - there are options for every stop on the style spectrum from sleekly boyish to joyously frou-frou.

The beauty of “co-ords” – two matching pieces – is they make both one impactful outfit and useful separates. There’s a world of co-ords out there, from casual to limelight-stealing-wedding-guest, but the best should pass your “is it as effortless as a dress?” test.I wanted to share a few tips to being more fashionable and enjoying what you wear! I've been here for almost 10 years now and have loved seeing styles evolve - both my own and those of my favorite bloggers. With that thought in mind, here's a few things that have helped me as my style evolves...

One way to be more fashionable and stylish is to educate yourself on the matter. You won’t know what changes to make unless you understand the trends and what’s in and what’s out. Take the time to review fashion blogs and advice that the experts are sharing online and offline. After years of following style blogs, I find my own style has evolved to match elements I like, and avoided the elements I don't like. Follow fashion icons on social media who are posting images and tips so you can keep up with the latest trends. And don't be afraid to not follow something you like...for example, I've never liked the super baggy trend on women before, so I've never really gone for it. Even when it's in style!

Tips For Choosing The Perfect Getting Ready Room

It’s all about the details when it comes to being more fashionable and stylish. There are minor tweaks you can make that go a long way in helping you to stand out for all the right reasons. For example, accessories are one way to improve your looks and enhance just about any outfit. You can add a large and colorful handbag, a stunning piece of jewelry, or purchase eyeglasses in a well-known brand to help your cause. My two go-tos are earrings and glasses. I've invested in a lot of crazy earrings and sunglasses over the years, because I tend to wear lots of solid colors (like black and blue). Having a big statement earring with lots of color helps make an outfit interesting to me! Hop online and visit website that has some of the hottest and most fashionable eyewear around.

It’ll also help if you set aside time to go through your closet and get rid of or donate what no longer fits you or is out of style. Otherwise, you risk falling into old habits and putting on what’s hanging in your closet regardless if it’s fashionable. This is something I REALLY need to do right now, especially given quarantine! I'm realizing how much of my closet is stuff I've hung onto because I might wear it for this ONE special type of occasion...and it's just taking up space and collecting dust. So, clean out outdated items so you can make room for trendier pieces that will help you to look amazing. Get organized so that you know what you have and can wear and what you need to buy yet. Invest in the staples such as a dark pair of jeans and a black dress so that you’re always ready to dress for any type of occasion.

It never hurts to experiment and try out new and different looks when you’re attempting to be more fashionable and stylish. You won’t know how the clothing will look on you or how you’ll feel in it until you try on the various options. Don’t be afraid to mix and match animal prints, patterns, and florals to make your outfit more unique. As you can see from the outfit I've featured here, there are multiple prints on this one dress alone! I'm really liking that hodge-podge type look right now. Another tip? Go shopping and try on an item you usually wouldn’t purchase to help you get more comfortable experimenting and stepping outside your comfort zone. You may come to find there are some pieces you fall in love with and make you look beautiful that you never imagined wearing.
